DJ – Licensed Veterinary Technician
DJ began working at Pell City Animal Hospital in 1985 after attending the Snead State Veterinary Technician Program. When she is not caring for four-legged patients, she cares for her own pets at home: Barnese, her adopted cat, and numerous cows. DJ also enjoys hunting, camping, motorcycles, horseback riding and almost anything that has to do with the outdoors. We appreciate the many years that DJ has devoted to PCAH…oh the many lives that she has cared for during those years!
Robin – Licensed Veterinary Technician
Robin wanted to pursue a career working with animals after reading a series of books written by James Herriot. She began working with us as part-time kennel help in 1989 and soon after attended the Veterinary Technician Program at Snead State. After passing the State Board Exam, she began working full-time as a licensed veterinary technician and has been with us ever since.
Jayme – Licensed Veterinary Technician
Pell City Animal Hospital is happy to have Jayme, an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician, as a member of our staff. After earning her degree from St. Petersburg Community College in 2003, Jayme returned to her hometown of Pell City. Jayme is the proud mom of a daughter and two sons who also share her love of animals. Outside of work and being a full-time mom, she enjoys photography.
Candice – Licensed Veterinary Technician
Having worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician since graduating Summa Cum Laude from Snead State Community College in 2003, Candice joined our family in September, 2019. Her special interests are in animal behavior and integrative medicine. Through hard work and goal setting, Candice has been able to accomplish many great things…her next goal is to begin working on a Veterinary Technician Specialty License in Animal Behavior.
Candice is a blessed mother of two who she says keep her humble. She, her husband, and their children enjoy life on their farm in Munford where they have six chickens, five cows, three rescue dogs, one horse and a turtle!
We are excited to have another experienced LVT at Pell City Animal Hospital! Welcome to PCAH Candice!!

She and her husband, Jordan, share their home with two Great Danes, three Daschunds, two pigs and several rescues of all sizes! Summer is enrolled in school to pursue a degree as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Krystal – Technician Assistant
Krystal has been a part of our team since 2009. One of the best parts about working at Pell City Animal Hospital for Krystal is that it allows her to play with and take care of the dozens of puppies and kittens that come to stay throughout the day for boarding. She has a son and two canine children as well: Jenny, a pit bull; and Bear, a Chow/Shepherd mix.
Hailey – Kennel Technician
Hailey joined the PCAH family as a Kennel Technician in February 2020. She graduated from Pell City high School in 2019. Outside of taking care of the fur babies at Pell City Animal Hospital, Hailey is a youth leader at the Harvest Center, loves hiking, swimming, photography and hanging out with friends.
Hailey has loved animals since an early age and even entertained the idea of going to veterinary school. She is currently attending Jeff State, but plans to transfer to UAB in order to pursue a career in nursing. We are excited to have her sweet, caring personality as a part of our family! Even though Hailey doesn’t have any fur babies of her own at this time, she has shared her life with dogs, cats, sugar gliders and chickens! Hailey is pictured with JK, our blood donor pup at PCAH, who she regularly spoils with walks in the park. Welcome to the family Hailey!
Jayme – Groomer
Expanding her talents with animals, Jayme is the new groomer at PCAH!!! Bringing several years of experience with her from prior grooming days, Jayme (and Animal Crackers Boarding & Grooming) are excited to continue to offer excellent cat and dog grooming services to our community! Jayme has been a part of our PCAH family since 2015 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician so her smiling face and outgoing personality are familiar to our clients and their fur babies. In her spare time, Jayme is mom to three precious children and is a fabulous photographer (Harp Photography). Happy days with the shampoo, clippers and lots of beautiful fur babies Jayme!
